myXMG Staff have won the third edition of Virtus.pro Staff Cup following a revenge victory over HLTV.org in the final 2-1 (de_cache 16-13, de_mirage 7-16, de_dust2 16-14).

The last two weekends saw two phases of the third Virtus.pro Staff Cup being played out, the first of which served as a qualifying phase with 16 teams fighting for four spots in the main stage.

Four more were invited in the main stage, including staff lineups of HLTV.org, NiP, Game Show and Na`Vi. In the end myXMG and HLTV.org made it to the upper bracket final, where the latter prevailed in a best-of-three, which included a 34-32 scoreline on de_cache.

myXMG then had to go through NoobTubers again, which they were able to after a narrow best-of-three, as Kevin "⁠tweeday⁠" Tweedale's lineup wasn't able to close out de_mirage in the overtime battle.

The upper bracket finalists then met again in the grand final, where myXMG took revenge on de_cache 16-13, fell short on de_mirage quite one-sidedly 7-16, and came back from a 5-12 deficit on de_dust2 to take the victory and the $1,000 main prize.
